Background: Sustainable Urban System Program, as a joint study programme of Sichuan University-Stanford University started in 2015, aims to investigate specific issues and then developing related suggestions for promoting sustainable urban development via various measures, such as on-line interactive research, team-work, cross-culture communication and interdisciplinary integration together with students and professors from Stanford and Sichuan University.
